BANGKOK, Sept 27 — The Foreign Ministry has urged Malaysians in Bangkok to remain in close contact with the Embassy of Malaysia for emergency assistance and updates following widespread flooding across the Thai capital.
In an advisory issued today, the ministry confirmed that several Malaysians have been affected by the flooding, with embassy officials actively extending necessary support and consular assistance to those in need.
“The Embassy remains in close communication with local authorities as it continues to monitor the situation,” the Foreign Ministry stated, advising Malaysians to exercise caution, follow local safety directives, and register their presence in Thailand through the e-Konsular portal.
Travelers heading to Suvarnabhumi Airport have also been advised to allow additional travel time and head out well ahead of scheduled departures, as primary transport routes and access roads face severe delays due to inundated streets.
