FELDA Pledges Full Cooperation with MACC Over Investigation into Projects, Subsidiaries

FELDA MACC investigation

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 2 — The Federal Land Development Authority (FELDA) has pledged its full cooperation to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) regarding ongoing investigations into the land development agency and its subsidiary companies.

In a statement today, FELDA affirmed that it fully respects the ongoing investigative procedures to ensure they are conducted with complete transparency, fairness, and thoroughness. The agency emphasized its zero-tolerance policy regarding any governance failures or financial improprieties.

“FELDA does not compromise on any form of corruption, misappropriation, abuse of power or violation of the law that could undermine the interests of settlers and the institution,” the agency said.

FELDA also urged all external parties to respect the integrity of the ongoing investigation process as authorities carry out their inquiries.

The statement follows announcements by MACC Chief Commissioner Datuk Seri Abd Halim Aman earlier today, who revealed that the anti-graft body has opened six new investigation papers into allegations of misappropriation, abuse of power, and corruption involving FELDA and its primary investment arm, FELDA Investment Corporation Sdn Bhd (FIC).

Abd Halim noted that the latest probes were initiated after the commission received information on Aug 24 detailing irregularities in several projects and investment deals undertaken by the management of FELDA and FIC between 2010 and 2020.
