KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 7 – Pakatan Harapan (PH) is banking on its multiracial candidate slate and the proven integrity of its leaders as core strengths for the upcoming Melaka State Election, declared Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
Anwar, who serves as PH Chairman, highlighted in a statement on X on Saturday, November 7, 2026, that despite racial sentiments posing a challenge in the state political contest, PH chose to unite the strengths of the Malay, Chinese, and Indian communities by fielding capable, clean, and trustworthy candidates.
“With humility and a deep sense of responsibility, I appeal to the people of Melaka to place their trust in the HARAPAN team, which offers hard work, leadership with integrity and a proven track record in championing the people’s interests and developing the state,” Anwar stated.
He urged voters to make their decisions wisely and prayed that the coalition would be granted the strength to serve the community effectively.
“May Allah SWT illuminate your hearts as you make your choices and grant HARAPAN the strength to serve to the best of its ability,” he added.
The Melaka State Election, scheduled for Saturday, November 14, 2026, will feature 79 candidates contesting 28 state legislative assembly seats, with Pakatan Harapan contesting 24 seats.
