PUTRAJAYA, Nov 3 – No additional opposition Members of Parliament have signed a Confidence and Supply Agreement (CSA) with the MADANI Government to date, confirmed Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof.
Speaking to reporters after launching the International Conference on Ecohydrology and Water Resilience (ICEWR 2026) in Putrajaya on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, Fadillah confirmed that the tally of opposition signatories remains at 13 following last Thursday’s official signing.
“Not yet,” Fadillah stated briefly when asked about potential new signatories.
On October 29, 2026, the MADANI Government executed a historic CSA with six Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) MPs, led directly by party president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.
Under the terms of the agreement, the participating opposition MPs pledged their parliamentary support to ensure the passage of the Supply Bill 2027 (Budget 2027) and back the government’s flagship institutional reform agenda.
Key institutional reform commitments included within the signed CSA framework encompass:
- Prime Ministerial Tenure Limits: Enacting a constitutional amendment limiting the Prime Minister’s tenure to a maximum of two terms.
- Legal Role Separation: Separating the powers and roles of the Attorney General (legal advisor to the government) and the Public Prosecutor (head of prosecution).
