KOTA BHARU, Sept 20 — Heavy overnight rain in Kelantan has triggered flooding in Gua Musang, forcing the evacuation of 221 victims from 57 families into five newly opened temporary relief centres as of 1:33 pm today.
According to information published on the Social Welfare Department’s InfoBencana portal, floodwaters have impacted three districts across the state.
The five operational relief centres set up to accommodate affected residents are Masjid Jeram Tekoh, the Jeram Tekoh Zone 3 Community Hall, Sekolah Kebangsaan Jeram Tekoh, the Felda Chiku 6 Community Hall, and Sekolah Kebangsaan Limau Kasturi 1.
