KUALA LUMPUR, July 3 — The northbound Elite Smart Lane stretching from Bandar Saujana Putra to Putra Heights, between KM15.9 and KM13.9 of the North-South Expressway Central Link (ELITE), will undergo a temporary five-month closure beginning Monday, July 6, through until December 3.
Highway concessionaire PLUS Malaysia Berhad (PLUS) announced in a statement today that the suspension is necessary to facilitate scheduled maintenance works, which form part of its ongoing efforts to upgrade highway infrastructure and ensure the overall safety of motorists.
“Throughout the maintenance works, the existing three lanes at the affected stretch will remain open to maintain traffic flow and to minimise traffic disruptions for highway users,” the statement read.
To navigate the zone smoothly, PLUS has advised drivers to proactively map out their travel schedules using the PLUS mobile application to check for live traffic updates. The operator also reminded motorists to strictly obey all temporary traffic signage and instructions issued by on-site highway personnel when driving through the active construction zone.
