Three Family Members Killed in Early Morning Fire in Muadzam Shah

KUANTAN, Aug 15 — A tragic early morning house fire killed three family members in Desa Mawar, Muadzam Shah, Rompin, leaving two other children as the sole survivors of the household.

Pahang Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) Operations and Rescue Division Assistant Director Mohd Salahuddin Isa confirmed that an emergency call reporting the blaze was received at 4.11 am, prompting the swift deployment of firefighters to the scene.

Upon arrival, rescue personnel discovered that the fire had engulfed the residential structure.

“The fire claimed the lives of a man, his wife and their son, while two other children survived,” Mohd Salahuddin disclosed.

The inferno completely destroyed the family’s home and spread to an adjacent property. The neighbouring house sustained approximately 70 per cent damage, though all six occupants managed to evacuate safely without injury.

Fire forensics teams are currently on site to determine the cause of the fire and assess the total financial losses incurred.
