Transport Minister Anthony Loke said efforts must be made to expand training programs and offer competitive salaries to attract qualified professionals. He said that the airlines should be ahead of the curve in this area to continue working hard.

“Higher wages give workers better options. “But, on the positive side, it opens the door to more opportunities for better-paying jobs,” Loke said.
Loke was speaking to reporters after launching the Malaysian Aviation Decarbonization Master Plan (MADB) today. Meanwhile, Loke said the recent incident with Malaysia Airlines, where the Seoul flight was due to return to Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) on September 2, is still being investigated by the Civil Aviation Authority. of Malaysia (CAAM).
Loke reiterated that the decision to reconsider was made prioritizing the safety of passengers, adding that the airline is also taking other measures, such as reducing the frequency of flights to create more space for the aircraft to operate. , repair and overhaul (MRO). “The incident has not affected the aviation sector as a whole, the number of flights, flights and passengers continue to increase every month,” he said.
He said that the number of passengers saw a double-digit increase this year compared to last year, adding that the number of passengers is expected to reach between 95 and 105 million and may return to ‘stage before disease.
Also, Loke expressed concern about the increasing number of incidents involving underage drivers, who pose a great risk to road users. He said parents must take full responsibility for allowing their children to drive.
