KOTA BHARU, Sept 13 – Police in Kota Bharu have opened an investigation paper following a viral video depicting a man acting aggressively and kicking a young girl at a well-known Thai restaurant in Telipot.
Kota Bharu district police chief ACP Mohd Azmir Damiri stated that authorities received a report from a member of the public at approximately 10:24 pm on Sunday regarding the video, which circulated widely on the Threads social media platform.
According to police, the footage shows rough behavior by a man kicking a young girl who is believed to be his daughter. The recording was originally uploaded by the restaurant owner via their Facebook account before spreading across social media platforms.
Mohd Azmir confirmed that the case is being investigated under Section 31(1)(a) of the Child Act 2001. Investigating officers are actively working to track down and identify both the man involved and the child featured in the recording.
