PM Anwar Announces Exclusive RM200 MADANI F1 Tickets for 2026 Bahrain Grand Prix at Sepang Circuit

RM200 MADANI F1 Tickets

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 15 — Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has announced the introduction of specially priced MADANI Tickets for MyKad holders, starting from as low as RM200, enabling Malaysians to watch the Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix Formula 1 race live at the Sepang International Circuit (SIC).

The initiative follows government deliberations over recent weeks to offer affordable access for local fans ahead of the marquee motorsport event scheduled for October.

“Alhamdulillah, following discussions and a mutual agreement with Bahrain, the government is pleased to announce MADANI Tickets exclusively for MyKad holders at prices starting from RM200, providing access throughout the three-day event,” Anwar shared in a Facebook post today.

The Prime Minister expressed hope that the ticketing arrangement would grant broader opportunity for citizens to experience top-tier international racing in person at Sepang.

“Further details will be announced by SIC soon, insyaAllah,” he added.

Formula 1 and the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA) had earlier announced that the 2026 Bahrain Grand Prix will be hosted at SIC from October 2 to 4 through direct bilateral cooperation between Malaysia and Bahrain.

The Bahrain Grand Prix was initially scheduled to take place at the Bahrain International Circuit in April but was rescheduled to October and moved to Sepang in light of geopolitical tensions in West Asia.

The upcoming race marks a major milestone for Sepang, which continuously hosted the Malaysian Grand Prix from 1999 to 2017 before the event was omitted from the F1 calendar due to mounting hosting costs and licensing fees.
