MELAKA, Sept 19 — Pakatan Harapan (PH) Melaka is finalising negotiations with aligned political parties, including Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu), to form a “PH Plus” collaboration ahead of the Melaka State Election.
Melaka PH chairman Adly Zahari confirmed that the negotiations align with decisions made by the PH Presidential Council, adding that the full scope of any cooperation will be revealed once talks wrap up.
“The negotiations also include Bersatu, but any form of cooperation will only be announced after the negotiation process has been completed,” Adly said during a press conference following the launch of Amanah’s election machinery in Duyong today.
Adly, who is also Deputy Defence Minister, disclosed that internal seat allocations among PH component parties—PKR, Amanah, and DAP—have been finalized. As part of the agreement, Amanah will contest eight state seats, including Bukit Katil, Durian Tunggal, Telok Mas, and Merlimau. He clarified that no discussions have been held with Barisan Nasional (BN) to date.
The machinery launch was attended by key Amanah leaders, including party president Datuk Seri Mohamad Sabu, who serves as Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, and deputy president Datuk Seri Dr Mujahid Yusof Rawa.
Meanwhile in Kuantan, PKR Secretary-General Datuk Dr Fuziah Salleh affirmed that the party is prepared to enter the state election against any opposition once final decisions on political pacts are reached. Speaking at the Madani Kita Programme at the Sungai Isap Damai Multipurpose Hall, she emphasized that PKR remains focused on election readiness regardless of how electoral alliances take shape.
