JOHOR BAHRU, July 18 — The Johor State Government and local authorities (PBT) have launched a thorough investigation into the controversy involving Network School in Forest City, stressing that there will be absolutely no compromise on any violation of the law or licensing conditions.
The Regent of Johor, Tunku Mahkota Ismail, warned that firm punitive action would be taken, including the immediate revocation of the company’s operating licence or permit in Johor, should any breach of regulations, laws, or licensing conditions be uncovered.
“In regards to the recent issue involving Network School in Forest City, all matters relating to the entry of foreign nationals into this country fall under the jurisdiction of the Home Ministry (KDN). However, the Johor state government and the local authorities will conduct a thorough investigation,” Tunku Mahkota Ismail stated via a post on his official Facebook page today.
The royal intervention follows a direct enforcement operation by the Iskandar Puteri City Council (MBIP). Johor Menteri Besar Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi confirmed yesterday that MBIP had successfully issued a Stop-Business Notice to the premises linked to the operations of Network School.
Enforcement records showed that the company failed to comply with its mandatory business licence and premises usage conditions by systematically misusing its business office to conduct unauthorized educational activities.
Official inspections revealed that the company was operating across two separate premises. While one location held a valid business office licence, the second unit was operating entirely without an MBIP business licence, despite being owned by a Malaysian citizen.
The stringent crackdown follows a wave of viral social media posts alleging the unauthorized existence of the Network School in Forest City. The online posts claimed, without official substantiation, that the establishment was secretly linked to an Israeli agenda aiming to establish a geopolitical presence in Malaysia through specialized currency investment activities.
