KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 1 — Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) has congratulated Barisan Nasional (BN) on securing the mandate to form the new Negeri Sembilan state government in the 16th State Legislative Assembly Election.

In an official statement released today, Bersatu secretary-general Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali stated that the party accepts the decision of Negeri Sembilan voters, who showed support for Bersatu candidates across the 24 constituencies contested under the party’s banner.

Azmin highlighted that this election marked the first time Bersatu contested using its own party logo without relying on or piggybacking on other entities.

He noted that the election outcome demands bold internal action from Bersatu to strengthen organizational discipline, work harder, and champion a reform agenda that brings maximum benefit to the rakyat.

“BERSATU congratulates Barisan Nasional, which has been given a new mandate to form the Negeri Sembilan State Government in the 16th Negeri Sembilan State Legislative Assembly Election,” Azmin said in the statement.

“This is the first time BERSATU participated in an election using its own logo without depending on or riding on other parties. The outcome in Negeri Sembilan demands BERSATU to take bold steps to enhance internal discipline, work hard, and advance a change agenda that provides the best benefits for the people,” he added.

Expressing gratitude to the party machinery, Azmin praised campaign workers for their hard work, solidarity, and loyalty toward Bersatu’s cause throughout the state polls.

Moving forward, Azmin revealed that Bersatu will conduct a detailed post-mortem to analyze the election results and identify strategic measures to reinforce the party’s platform in advancing the interests of all Malaysians.

He added that Bersatu will also explore discussions on forming a moderate and progressive political coalition aimed at revitalizing the nation’s democracy for a brighter future.
