Yusoff Rawther gave statement for 7 hours

YUSOFF

KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 9 – Muhammed Yusoff Rawther was seen leaving Bukit Aman police headquarters tonight after spending more hours giving statement relating to his alleged claims that PKR president Anwar Ibrahim had attempted a morally repugnant act towards him on October 2, 2018.

Yusoff was seen leaving with lawyer Mohamed Haniff Khatri Abdulla, in a black car.

Yusoff gave statement but prepared to give more

Haniff Khatri said that they have given full cooperation to help police investigation by giving statement today, after being called to report to Bukit Aman.

“Today, we’ve given a statement but should the police call again for further statement, we will be back” said the laywer.

Case under Section 354 Penal Code

The case is being investigated by Classified Criminal Investigation Unit (D5), Bukit Aman under Section 354 of the Penal Code.

It carries a punishment of imprisonment for a term which may extend to ten years or with fine or with whipping or with any two of such punishments.

Anwar has strongly denied the claims.
