
KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 9 – Muhammed Yusoff Rawther, the ex-staff accusing PKR president Anwar Ibrahim of sexual assault, was accompanied by lawyer Mohamed Haniff Khatri Abdulla to record a statement at the Bukit Aman police headquarters, today.
Yusoff lodged a police report against Anwar on Dec 7, at Sentul Police HQ. He also submitted his statutory declaration detailing the incident. on the same day.
Investigation by Classified Criminal Investigation Unit
NMT was told that the investigation has been transferred from Sentul to Bukit Aman to be investigated by Classified Criminal Investigation Unit (D5).
Haniff Khatri has been linked with Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad in recent past, with some media labeling him as ‘PM’s lawyer’.
Yusoff claimed assaulted by Anwar’s aide before
Yusoff had previously claimed that he was assaulted by Anwar’s political secretary, Farhash Wafa Salvador Rizal Mubarak, earlier this year.
He has also filed a lawsuit against Farhash and another aide of Anwar after suggesting that his reports were ignored.
He made a press conference last week which was also streamed on Facebook Live, where he claimed that a senior politician had committed a crime against him; described as “un-Islamic, vile, insidious and morally repugnant”.
A statutory declaration detailing an incident that allegedly took place at Anwar’s private residence in Bukit Segambut was leaked on social media recently.
Anwar has strongly denied the allegations.
