KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 7 – Muhammed Yusoff Rawther has filed a police report this morning, asking the police to investigate Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim over an alleged sexual assault last year.
The report was made at Sentul Police HQ where the 26 year-old also submitted his statutory declaration detailing the incident.
Yusoff said safety threatened
Yusoff, also said in his report that his safety has been threatened by certain parties after he held a press conference.
Last Wednesday, he held a press conference alleging a senior politician attempting morally repugnant acts on him.
Anwar has denied allegations
Anwar has come out strongly to deny the allegation, saying it was a ploy to tarnish his reputation and that he would lodge a police report on the matter.
His aide, Shukri Saad lodged a police report on Thursday, against the claims.
Anwar’s lawyer Ramkarpal Singh had issued a seven-day notice of demand for the accuser to retract his claim.
Family and relative divided
Yusoff’s grand uncle, Mohideen Abdul Kader made a statement against Yusoff few days ago, suggesting that no one in the family is aware of the alleged incident. Mohideen also said that Yusoff has been estranged from the family.
However, Yusoff’s father, Muhammed Ali Mohammed Idris has come out in defence of his son and discredited Mohideen’s statement in totality.
