MELAKA, August 19 — Melaka Sentral Sdn Bhd (MSSB) has refuted widespread claims circulating on social media alleging that the state’s main intercity bus terminal has been operating without functional air-conditioning for more than three months.
MSSB General Manager Zulhafni Md Rahis clarified today that official internal records and routine facility monitoring show that ambient temperatures inside the terminal complex have consistently remained under control.
Zulhafni explained that the management conducts regular servicing and maintenance on the terminal’s air-conditioning infrastructure to ensure the comfort of commuters and maintain smooth daily operations.
Addressing public concerns, Zulhafni stated that the management remains receptive to feedback from both business operators and passengers regarding facility conditions, urging the public to utilize official administrative channels to raise grievances.
“We are always open to complaints and feedback from traders and visitors regarding comfort and facilities at the terminal. Complaints can be submitted through the complaint forms provided or via the Public Complaints Management System (SISPAA) for the management’s attention and action,” he said in a statement.
He added that all formal grievances submitted through official channels are thoroughly reviewed according to established standard operating procedures, with official responses or action reports delivered within 10 working days.
Zulhafni also advised members of the public to verify operational details directly with terminal authorities before publishing claims on social media platforms, emphasizing the importance of disseminating accurate information. He reiterated MSSB’s continued commitment to keeping terminal facilities well-maintained for the safety, convenience, and overall comfort of all users.
