KUALA LUMPUR, July 1 — Licensed trust company UBB Amanah Berhad has issued a formal clarification denying any involvement in recent news reports and online media outputs concerning investment scams linked to trust entities.
In an official memorandum addressed to all its agencies, agents, and independent trust consultants, the company emphasized that any claims or insinuations associating it with such scam investigations are entirely baseless.
“We wish to make it clear that UBB Amanah Berhad is not involved in any such investigations or reports. Any suggestion or representation that UBB is in any way implicated or associated with these matters is wholly unfounded and misleading,” UBB Amanah stated in the statement.
The trust company issued a stern warning against the spread of inaccurate narratives, cautioning that it is fully prepared to seek legal remedies against individuals or parties spreading false allegations.
“UBB will not hesitate to take firm legal action against any party who disseminates or implies otherwise,” the management warned.
To safeguard its corporate standing and maintain market confidence, UBB Amanah urged all industry representatives and stakeholders to exercise professional diligence in their dealings and refrain from making statements that misrepresent the company’s position.
Furthermore, the trust entity called on members of the media to maintain accuracy and care when reporting on scam-related developments to foster proper public understanding.
