Tragic Rear-End Collision Claimed Lives Of Mother And Two Children Near Tanjong Karang

SHAH ALAM, Oct 8 – A 44-year-old mother and two of her young children were killed, while her 10-year-old son suffered severe injuries, after their car crashed into the rear of a lorry along Jalan Raja Muda Musa on Thursday afternoon.

Selangor Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) Assistant Director of Operations Ashrul Riezal Asbar confirmed that emergency services were alerted to the fatal crash heading toward Tanjong Karang at approximately 1:37 PM on October 8, 2026.

Upon arrival, fire and rescue personnel found all four family members trapped inside the severely damaged vehicle.

Casualties and Emergency Extrication

Rescue teams worked to extricate the victims trapped within the wreckage:

  • Fatalities at Scene: Medical personnel confirmed that a 12-year-old girl and an eight-year-old boy succumbed to their injuries at the crash site.
  • Maternal Fatality: The 44-year-old mother, who was driving the family car, also lost her life in the collision.
  • Critically Injured Survivor: A 10-year-old boy sustained severe head injuries during the impact and was rushed to the hospital for emergency medical treatment.
  • Rescue Deployment: Four personnel from the Tanjong Karang Fire and Rescue Station were deployed to carry out extrication and emergency operations.

Police investigations are ongoing to determine the circumstances leading up to the fatal rear-end crash.
