KUANTAN, Aug 27 — The Pahang state government has collected RM921.72 million in state revenue as of yesterday, reaching 72 per cent of its total revenue target of RM1.279 billion for 2026.
Pahang Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail stated at the Pahang State Legislative Assembly sitting at Wisma Sri Pahang today that the achievement demonstrates the state’s solid financial position and puts it on track to hit its annual financial goals.
Replying to a question from Datuk Mohd Sharim Md Zain (BN-Chini) regarding key economic achievements under the Pahang 1st agenda, Wan Rosdy highlighted that the state’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) expanded to RM71 billion in 2025, up from RM68.8 billion the previous year.
He added that Pahang has recorded RM11.47 billion in committed investments as of August 2026, alongside RM1.044 billion in realized investments.
“This performance shows that the state government’s financial position remains strong and is on the right track to achieve this year’s revenue target,” Wan Rosdy said.
The Menteri Besar explained that this sustained economic growth has allowed the state to allocate RM173.93 million toward the Makmur Pahang Initiative (IM Pahang) between 2024 and 2026. Funding for the initiative has progressively increased from RM38.8 million in 2024 and RM50.54 million in 2025 to RM84.59 million in 2026.
Wan Rosdy noted that the state government plans to further raise the allocation for IM Pahang during the tabling of the upcoming Pahang State Budget.
