KUALA LUMPUR — The Consulate General of Malaysia in Jeddah has dismissed social media rumors claiming that Malaysian Haj pilgrims are still in Saudi Arabia under the management of the 1447H/2026 Haj season operations.
In an official statement released on Sunday, the consulate general clarified that all official Malaysian pilgrims for the 1447H/2026 season have safely returned home in strict accordance with the flight schedule established by Tabung Haji.
“There are no Malaysian haj pilgrims remaining in Saudi Arabia under the 1447H/2026 Haj operations,” the statement affirmed, specifically addressing circulating viral posts that suggested several pilgrims remained stuck or unaccounted for in the kingdom.
The Consulate General of Malaysia in Jeddah urged the public to refrain from spreading or trusting unverified claims on social media, advising them instead to rely exclusively on official channels for accurate and up-to-date information.
