GEORGE TOWN, Sept 3 — The body of a 62-year-old man was discovered inside a vehicle at a residential parking area in Desa Penang 2, Lebuh Sungai Pinang 7, this evening.
Timur Laut police chief ACP Abdul Rozak Muhammad said members of the public found the body and notified the authorities at 6.59 pm.
“Initial investigations at the scene revealed that the victim was a local resident living in the area and had died inside the car. Further examination of the body and the scene found no elements of foul play,” Abdul Rozak said in a statement tonight.
The victim’s body was transferred to Penang Hospital, where a post-mortem examination will be conducted to determine the cause of death.
Police have classified the case as a sudden death while investigations continue.
