PUTRAJAYA, Aug 3 — Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof will undergo heart bypass surgery at the National Heart Institute (IJN) in the near future following advice from his medical specialist team.
In a statement issued on Monday, his press secretary, Datuk Misiah Taib, confirmed that Fadillah—who also serves as the Minister of Energy Transition and Water Transformation (PETRA)—remains in stable condition. However, he has been advised by doctors to rest completely and refrain from receiving visitors to ensure his treatment and recovery proceed smoothly and without interruption.
Fadillah’s family has requested the public to keep him in their prayers for a successful procedure, a smooth recovery, and a swift return to his official duties. They also expressed their sincere gratitude and appreciation for the continuous support, concern, and well-wishes received during this period.
