SEREMBAN, Oct 1– The Kuala Pilah Magistrate’s Court has extended the remand of the first suspect detained in connection with the fatal bullying case of a Form Two male student by seven days, effective tomorrow until October 8, 2026.
Negeri Sembilan Police Chief Datuk Alzafny Ahmad confirmed that the application for the extension was granted on Thursday morning to facilitate ongoing investigations into the incident, which occurred on September 25.
The 16-year-old primary suspect is currently being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder. A second suspect, a Form Four male student, remains under remand until Saturday, October 3.
Investigation Progress and Bullying Allegations
Datuk Alzafny previously reported that police have recorded 69 statements from witnesses to reconstruct the events leading to the student’s death.
Additionally, five other students have come forward to file official statements claiming they were also victims of bullying by one of the two detained suspects at the same school in Kuala Pilah.
The incident unfolded last Friday, September 25, when police were alerted that a Form Two student had sustained severe physical injuries on school grounds. The victim was rushed to Tuanku Ampuan Najihah Hospital (HTAN) in Kuala Pilah, where medical personnel subsequently pronounced him dead.
