KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 1 – Vietnamese Prime Minister Le Minh Hung emphasized the need to strengthen regional cooperation among ASEAN law enforcement agencies to tackle transnational crime and ensure fugitives cannot escape justice.

The Malaysian delegation was led by Ministry of Home Affairs (KDN) Deputy Secretary-General (Security) Datuk Abdul Halim Abdul Rahman.
According to an official statement by KDN on Thursday, Le noted that the outcomes of the ASEAN Law Enforcement High-Level Conference on Cooperation in Combating Fugitive Criminals would play a vital role in enhancing regional peace, security, and stability.
Following the high-level meeting, the Malaysian delegation attended an official gala dinner hosted by Vietnam’s Minister of Public Security, General Luong Tam Quang, to mark the conclusion of the regional conference.
KDN reaffirmed that Malaysia’s active participation underscores its continued commitment to working alongside ASEAN member states to curb cross-border crime networks and enhance security intelligence sharing.
