GLASGOW, July 25 — Malaysian athletes will feature across multiple sports on Saturday (July 25) at the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games, with national contingents taking the stage in 3×3 basketball, swimming, artistic gymnastics, lawn bowls, and para swimming.

In 3×3 basketball at the Scottish Event Campus Hall 4, the Malaysian men’s team faces a demanding preliminary schedule, tipping off against Fiji at 5:00 PM Malaysian time before taking on Kenya at 12:25 AM and regional rivals Singapore at 2:00 AM in the early hours of July 26. Meanwhile, the 3×3 wheelchair basketball men’s squad will square off against Wales in their preliminary group match at 11:35 PM.

Over at the Tollcross International Swimming Centre, national swimmers Khiew Hoe Yean and Tan Khai Xin will compete in the men’s 400 metres freestyle heats at 6:49 PM, aiming for a spot in the final scheduled for 2:00 AM on July 26. Earlier at 5:30 PM, Lim Yin Chuen and Arvin Shaun Singh Chahal will feature in the men’s 50m freestyle heats, with semi-finals taking place later that night. In para swimming, Ethan Yin Jun Khoo will race in the men’s S14 200m freestyle heats at 7:16 PM ahead of the final at 3:32 AM on July 26.

In artistic gymnastics, Cadence Teh Zi Qi, Rachel Yeoh Li Wen, and Yeap Kang Xian are set to compete in Sub 2 of the women’s individual all-around event at the Glasgow International Arena starting at 7:35 PM.

Rounding off the day’s action, national lawn bowlers will feature in sectional play at the Scottish Event Campus Hall 3. Izzat Shameer Dzulkeple will face India in the men’s singles at 10:00 PM, while the women’s pairs duo of Aleena Ahmad Nawawi and Syafiqa Haidar Afif Abdul Rahman will take on the Cook Islands at 11:25 PM.
