
Kuala Lumpur/Washington, April 9 — US Secretary of State Antony Blinken on Thursday spoke over the phone with his Malaysian counterpart Saifuddin Abdullah, where they discussed their commitment to advancing peace and prosperity in the Indo-Pacific.

“Both parties shared perspectives on the development of the Indo-Pacific Economic Framework, which will advance broad-based economic growth across the region,” US State Department spokesperson Ned Price said.
“Secretary Blinken and Foreign Minister Saifuddin Abdullah also reviewed their coordination on the Kremlin’s war against Ukraine” Price said in a readout of the call.
