KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 1 — Twelve Malaysian micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) and cooperatives are targeting up to RM150 million in potential sales and strategic business partnerships through their participation in the China International Small and Medium Enterprises Fair (CISMEF) in Guangzhou, China.

The Ministry of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives (KUSKOP) announced in a statement today that the participating MSMEs and cooperatives, which specialize in the food and beverage and health product sectors, are taking part in the trade exposition as part of a special delegation to Guangzhou from Sept 1 to 5.

The trade mission is led by Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives Minister Steven Sim, who will also represent Malaysia at the 32nd APEC Small and Medium Enterprises Ministerial Meeting (APEC SMEMM) held alongside the fair.

According to KUSKOP, the mission aims to assist Malaysian MSMEs and cooperatives in securing greater access to international markets, accelerating digital transformation, and expanding their footprint across global supply chains.
