KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 18 — The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a red weather warning of continuous very heavy rain in several areas in Terengganu since yesterday until today.
MetMalaysia director-general Jailan Simon said an orange weather warning with heavy rain is also issued for some areas in Kelantan, Terengganu and Pahang, and a yellow-alert weather warning with heavy rain for some areas in Kelantan and Pahang.

“The heavy rain in the east coast states will continue. Dangerous weather warning (red) is issued for areas in Terengganu, namely Besut, Setiu, Kuala Nerus and Kuala Terengganu.
“Orange weather warning is issued for areas in Tumpat, Pasir Mas, Kota Bharu, Bachok and Pasir Puteh (Kelantan), Hulu Terengganu, Marang, Dungun and Kemaman (Terengganu), as well as Kuantan, Pekan and Rompin (Pahang),” he said in a statement.
The alert weather warning is for Jeli, Tanah Merah and Kuala Krai in Kelantan, and Maran and Bera in Pahang.
