TEHRAN, Nov 4  – Diplomatic efforts led by Qatar to bridge differences between the United States and Iran are actively ongoing, with both nations reviewing fresh proposals aimed at de-escalating regional tensions.

Addressing media representatives during a news briefing in Doha on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, Qatari Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Dr. Majed al-Ansari confirmed that Washington and Tehran remain committed to the diplomatic negotiating track.

“Efforts to bridge the gap between the two sides of the crisis, the United States and Iran, are still ongoing,” al-Ansari stated. He affirmed that both governments are currently studying specific proposals designed to establish necessary conditions for a binding agreement.

The Qatari foreign ministry spokesperson emphasized that Doha is maintaining high-level coordination with regional partners and international stakeholders to contain the conflict and prevent further military escalation across the Middle East.

“If there were no hope, there would be no negotiations,” al-Ansari remarked, highlighting that Qatar’s diplomatic priority is building mutual confidence and establishing durable peace standards on the ground.

The ongoing mediation follows renewed friction in the region, with Qatari authorities reiterating calls for operational restraint to preserve diplomatic momentum and protect freedom of maritime navigation in Gulf waters.
