Nibong Tebal murder investigation

NIBONG TEBAL, Sept 9 – Police have launched a murder investigation following the discovery of a man’s body at a residential property located in Lorong 7, Taman Seri Bistari, Nibong Tebal on Wednesday.

Seberang Perai Selatan deputy police chief DSP Mohd Norazmi Abd Ghapar stated that authorities are working to verify the deceased’s identity and that a post-mortem examination will be conducted to determine the exact cause of death. Confirming the legal classification of the case, Mohd Norazmi noted, “Police are conducting further investigations. The case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder”. He further advised members of the public to avoid speculating or sharing unverified information that could interfere with active police proceedings.

The victim, believed to be a man in his 50s, was found with his hands and feet tied inside a sewage tank located behind a single-storey terrace house near the kitchen area. Investigators believe the discovery is connected to a missing person’s report lodged on September 7.
