KUANTAN, Nov 6 -The Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Ministry (KPDN) Pahang branch seized approximately 2,000 litres of diesel alongside a trailer lorry worth nearly RM250,000 during an enforcement raid in Pekan.
Pahang KPDN Director JezliIy Jamaluddin confirmed on Friday, November 6, 2026, that enforcement officers conducted an operation tracking suspected fleet card misuse and storage permit violations at an oil palm processing plant around 11:00 AM on Thursday, November 5.
“Inspections revealed there was transfers of petroleum, suspected to be diesel from the tanker of a lorry to a storage area in the factory premises,” JezliIy stated. “Preliminary investigations found that the diesel was believed to have been purchased at several petrol stations and brought to the premises, which raises suspicions of the misuse of fleet cards.”
Although the oil palm facility possessed valid diesel storage permits, initial findings indicate that its procurement practices, fuel receiving methods, and stock inventory record-keeping failed to comply with statutory permit conditions.
KPDN enforcement officers confirmed that further investigations into the company and lorry operators are ongoing under the Control of Supplies Act 1961.
