KUALA LUMPUR, July 26 — No Malaysians have been reported involved or injured following a deadly vehicle attack during the Christopher Street Day celebrations in Berlin, Germany, on Saturday night, the Malaysian Embassy in Berlin confirmed today.

Expressing sympathy to those impacted by the incident—which left one woman dead and at least 16 others injured—the embassy stated that it is actively monitoring the situation in the German capital.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims, their families and everyone affected by this tragedy,” read a statement published on the embassy’s official Facebook page.

According to the German Press Agency (dpa), a vehicle plowed into a crowd in Berlin’s Tiergarten district shortly after 10:00 PM local time on Saturday (July 25), forcing organizers to call off the event. German law enforcement authorities have launched a search for the suspect, while medical officials confirmed that among the 16 injured victims, three sustained life-threatening injuries and eight suffered serious harm.
