PUTRAJAYA, Oct 4 – German rider Lennart Jasch powered to a remarkable double victory, securing both the overall General Classification (Orange Jersey) and the King of the Mountains (Polka Dot Jersey) titles as the 2026 Le Tour de Langkawi (LTdL) concluded its eight-stage race from Muar to Putrajaya on Sunday, October 4, 2026.
The Tudor Pro Cycling Team rider successfully defended the leader’s Orange Jersey since Stage 2—where he conquered the summit finish at Gunung Jerai—closing out the 1,285.5-kilometer race with a total winning time of 28 hours, 57 minutes, and 02 seconds.
“Super happy. Well, it’s another really tough day… might look easy on paper, but it was definitely not easy, especially the last kilometres,” Jasch said following the stage finish. “I’m really thankful to the team, for all the support they gave me all week, and I think we can all be super proud of the performance we did this week.”
Jasch secured the overall title with a 26-second cushion over runner-up Abel Balderstone Roumens of Caja Rural-Seguros RGA, while Balderstone’s teammate Jan Castellon Ribalt completed the final General Classification podium in third place, 42 seconds behind.

Alongside his General Classification victory, Jasch claimed the King of the Mountains title with 45 points, edging out Wheeltop Rotor Chengdu Cycling Team’s Petr Rikunov (41 points) and Jan Castellon (26 points).

Stage Eight Sprint Victory
The final 188.3-kilometer Stage Eight from Muar to Putrajaya concluded in a bunch sprint finish, won by Italian rider Matteo Malucelli of XDS Astana Team in 4 hours, 05 minutes, and 17 seconds.
Malucelli edged out Canada’s Riley Pickrell (Modern Adventure Pro Cycling) and the Netherlands’ Christiaan Van Rees (Team Picnic PostNL) at the finish line, a victory that sealed his status as the tour’s Best Sprinter.
Reflecting on his maiden ProSeries General Classification title, Jasch noted that the victory far exceeded his team’s initial target of a top-five finish, marking his first major overall win outside of Europe.
