LLM and App Developer Tackle Technical Disruptions As User Traffic Surges On TuJu Navigation Portal

LLM TuJu navigation app disruption user surge Waze ban

PUTRAJAYA, Oct 22 – The Malaysian Highway Authority (LLM) and system developer Prosignal Consortium Sdn Bhd (PCSB) have initiated immediate technical upgrades to resolve app disruptions and expand server capacity following a massive influx of new users on the TuJu navigation app.

In an official statement released on Thursday, October 22, 2026, LLM acknowledged system instability issues that emerged after Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim publicly recommended TuJu as a secure local alternative for road navigation.

Engineering teams are actively reviewing real-time user feedback to correct route accuracy, enhance system responsiveness, and optimize UI performance across mobile platforms.

“Improvements will continue to ensure that TuJu provides a more stable, accurate and user-friendly service,” LLM stated, offering an official apology to motorists for service disruptions.

Cybersecurity Alignment, App Ecosystem, and Civil Service Mandate

Key operational updates, app features, and administrative mandates surrounding the navigation portal include:

  • Platform History & Capabilities: Launched on November 26, 2025, TuJu was co-developed by LLM and PCSB to deliver real-time highway traffic monitoring, route planning, toll estimation, emergency assistance, and rest area (R&R) facility location Services.
  • National Digital Sovereignty: LLM is coordinating directly with the Ministry of Works, the National Cyber Security Agency (NACSA), and relevant technology stakeholders to reinforce data security protocols and uphold national digital sovereignty.
  • Immediate Civil Service Waze Ban: The user surge coincides with a mandatory directive issued by Chief Secretary to the Government (KSN) Tan Sri Shamsul Azri Abu Bakar on October 20, 2026, enforcing an immediate ban on the Waze navigation app across all public sector departments and government agencies.
  • Public Support Channel: Motorists and civil service users can submit bug reports, navigation complaints, and feature feedback directly via email to [email protected] while ongoing server expansion updates are published via official LLM channels.
