Iranian Embassy Rejects Speculation Linking Iran to UK RAF Fairford Airbase Arrests

LONDON, Sept 29 – The Iranian Embassy in London has strongly rejected speculation by British individuals and media outlets seeking to link Iran to the arrest of five suspects near the US-utilized RAF Fairford airbase in Gloucestershire, England.

In an official statement released on Monday, the embassy categorically rejected and condemned the claims, describing them as unfounded and malicious.

“The circulation of such fabricated speculations, particularly in the aftermath of the criminal acts of aggression committed by the United States and the Israeli regime against the Iranian people, will serve no purpose other than to fuel Iranophobia propaganda in the UK,” the embassy stated.

The embassy added that the Islamic Republic of Iran reserves the right to take appropriate legal action to safeguard the country’s rights and interests against damaging media narratives.

The response follows the arrest of five men near RAF Fairford after reports of three suspicious vehicles traveling toward the facility. The suspects were initially detained on suspicion of explosives offenses and the preparation of a terrorist act.

RAF Fairford, which hosts the United States Air Force’s 501st Combat Support Wing, has been heavily utilized by US military forces—including B-1 and B-52 bombers—during recent operations.
