Elect Leaders Fighting Corruption, Prioritise Public Interest, Fahmi Tells Negeri Sembilan Voters

NILAI, July 29 — Voters in Negeri Sembilan should elect leaders fighting corruption, prioritise public interest over personal wealth, and refrain from shielding parties involved in misconduct, Pakatan Harapan (PH) Communications Director Datuk Seri Fahmi Fadzil said tonight.

Highlighting the governing track record of Negeri Sembilan Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun, Fahmi noted that the state administration has set a strong benchmark in leadership through increased investment revenue alongside record collections for zakat and Baitulmal.

“If we look at Tok Min’s (Aminuddin’s) leadership style and what people are saying on social media, many have given him and the PH administration ratings of 9/10, 9.5/10.

“I think we have no other choice but to return Tok Min and PH to lead and administer Negeri Sembilan,” Fahmi told attendees during the Jelajah Kekal Harapan Negeri Sembilan event here tonight.

Fahmi, who is also PKR Information Chief, stated that Aminuddin’s administration has elevated state institutions such as Yayasan Negeri Sembilan (YNS) to higher operational standards, ensuring social benefits and educational support directly reach communities across the state.

Turning to national governance, Fahmi, in his capacity as Communications Minister and government spokesperson, described the Cabinet’s decision to declassify and publicly release the Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI) report on Lembaga Tabung Haji (TH) as a pivotal move made after careful consideration of depositors’ interests and the fund’s financial position.

He reiterated that PH remains committed to safeguarding key public institutions while ensuring that individuals found to have breached the law and caused substantial losses to Malay and Islamic institutions are brought to justice.

“We will ensure that institutions such as Tabung Haji continue to be managed well. In Negeri Sembilan, we can see that Yayasan Negeri Sembilan has been well managed, with children beginning to enjoy its benefits, including receiving laptops and other forms of assistance,” he said.

A total of 867,151 registered voters in Negeri Sembilan are set to cast their ballots this Saturday, with 103 candidates contesting 36 state assembly seats.
