SEREMBAN, July 16 — Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has appealed directly to the public to support Pakatan Harapan (PH) in the fast-approaching Negeri Sembilan state election. He emphasized that continuous voter backing is necessary to protect ongoing regional development projects.
In a social media statement published today, the PH chairman highlighted the benefits of smooth governance. Anwar noted that close collaboration between the state machinery and the federal government has successfully unlocked major infrastructure projects. However, he warned that substantial work still remains to be completed across the region.
The Prime Minister gave his full endorsement to the caretaker chief minister. He praised Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun, popularly known as Tok Min, for leading the territory with integrity, humility, and a deep sense of responsibility since 2018.
Consequently, Anwar asked the local population to protect the progress achieved so far. He urged voters not to allow structural growth to stall halfway through the development cycle. He stated that a fresh mandate would ensure the state remains under a clean, stable administration that prioritizes public interest.
The upcoming Negeri Sembilan state election timeline has already entered its final administrative phases. The Election Commission previously announced that official candidate nominations will take place this Saturday, July 18. Early voting is set for July 28, leading up to the final polling day on August 1.
