KUALA LUMPUR, June 15 — A moderate earthquake measuring 5.4 on the Richter scale struck Halmahera, Indonesia, at 12.15 pm today.

According to the Malaysian Meteorological Department’s statement, the quake occurred at a depth of 126 km about 68 km northwest from Ternate, Indonesia.
There is no tsunami threat to Malaysia.
