Mega Agro MADANI Sales @ Rompin to Offer Up to 30 Percent Discounts From Oct 2 to 4

KUANTAN, Sept 30 – The Mega Agro MADANI Sales (JAM) @ Rompin will take place at Pantai Hiburan, Rompin, from October 2 to 4, offering discounts of up to 30 per cent on a wide range of essential agri-food products.

Organised by the Pahang Federal Agricultural Marketing Authority (FAMA), the three-day event will feature 84 trading lots involving nearly 70 local entrepreneurs selling agricultural produce and food products directly to consumers.

Pahang FAMA Director Rashiha Mamat stated that the sales event will operate daily from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM. Pantai Hiburan was selected due to its accessibility and complete public amenities, including parking, toilets, and a surau.

Discount Highlights and Special Promotions

Visitors to the event can take advantage of several targeted cost-saving promotions:

• MADANI Combo Sales: Offered at RM10 and RM20, providing savings of up to RM10 per bundle.
• Happy Hour Sales: Priced at RM5 and RM10, with total savings of up to RM25.
• Fresh Produce Price Cuts: Whole chickens at RM10 per bird, beef at RM30 per kilogramme, and eggs with savings of up to RM2.50 per tray.
• Other Offerings: Fruits, vegetables, Agro-Food-based Industry (IMAT) goods, Pahang Best products, and local culinary specialties such as Murtabak Makasar, Burger Tarik Cheese, Puding Raja, and Kopie Satu.

In addition to food sales, agricultural plant seedlings will be available for purchase, with free seedlings distributed to select visitors.

Community Engagement and Event Highlights

The three-day event will feature a range of interactive activities and public entertainment, including a performance by popular singer Siti Nordiana, a fishing competition, a Fun Walk, cooking and colouring contests, and the Eat Local Fruits and Vegetables campaign. Participating visitors will also stand a chance to win household appliances—such as televisions, refrigerators, and washing machines—in daily lucky draws.

Rashiha explained that Rompin was specifically chosen to host the event following FAMA market monitoring, which identified the district as having among the highest retail prices for essential goods in Pahang, particularly poultry.

She added that JAM serves to bridge producers and consumers directly, cutting out market intermediaries while providing expanded sales channels for FAMA-supported entrepreneurs. Pahang FAMA aims to execute 229 JAM events across the state between April and September, targeting a cumulative impact on roughly 100,000 households.
