KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 7 — Former Chief Justice Tun Mohamed Eusoff Chin passed away early Friday morning at the age of 91.
His passing was confirmed by former Malaysian Bar president Mohamad Ezri Abdul Wahab, who cited a social media message shared by the late top judge’s daughter, Zuliana. According to the family, Mohamed Eusoff breathed his last at 1:00 am today.
Funeral prayers will be held at Masjid Al-Hidayah in Kelana Jaya, after which the former head of the judiciary will be laid to rest at the Seksyen 9 Islamic Cemetery in Kota Damansara.
Mohamed Eusoff served as Malaysia’s second Chief Justice from September 1994 until December 2000, leading the nation’s judicial branch through a significant period in its post-independence legal history.
