Johor Untuk Semua; PH Manifesto Launched for State Polls

JOHOR BAHRU, July 3 — The Pakatan Harapan (PH) manifesto titled “Johor Untuk Semua” (Johor For All), which was unveiled today for the 16th Johor state election, is a practical roadmap driven by the actual needs of the public and the state’s economic landscape rather than mere political rhetoric, according to Johor DAP chairman Teo Nie Ching.

Teo expressed strong confidence that all the initiatives mapped out in the document can be successfully delivered to the public, provided there is solid support and seamless cooperation from the federal government.

“I think this is a very balanced manifesto. It looks after everyone, from the youth and mothers right down to the children,” she told Bernama following the launch ceremony.

The Deputy Communications Minister highlighted that the coalition’s immediate priorities include addressing pressing education issues and implementing strategic measures to slash waiting times at the Johor-Singapore border checkpoints by 50 per cent.

“On the border front, I believe that with good coordination with the Home Ministry, this is achievable,” she noted.

Teo also pointed out that Selangor’s successful track record in rolling out a comparable state healthcare insurance programme provides a reliable reference point and model for Johor’s proposed healthcare goals.

“I believe Selangor’s success in running such a scheme can reassure the people of Johor, the ‘Bangsa Johor’, that the manifesto we launched today is truly doable,” she added.

Earlier today, PH officially launched the “Johor Untuk Semua” manifesto as the cornerstone of the coalition’s pitch to the electorate for the 16th Johor state election. The manifesto outlines 10 core pledges, highlighted by the flagship Johor Health Scheme, financial deposit assistance for first-time homebuyers, a RM500 million fund dedicated to empowering youth development, and comprehensive measures to strengthen the local education sector.
