SINGAPORE, Jan 30 — Singapore will be suspending the Reciprocal Green Lane (RGL) arrangements with three countries including Malaysia for a period of three months from\u00a0Feb 1,\u00a0the republic\u2019s Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The other two countries are Germany and South Korea, it said in a statement here today. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe Government of Singapore will review the Reciprocal Green Lane arrangements at the end of the suspension period,\u201d said the ministry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ministry noted that travellers who have already been approved to enter Singapore under these arrangements can continue to do so.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The MFA said the government of Singapore will continue to monitor the global situation and adjust its border measures to manage the risk of importation and transmission to the community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Any changes to border measures will be updated on the SafeTravel website and travellers are advised to visit the website to check for the most updated border measures, it said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Besides the three countries, Singapore has RGL arrangements with Brunei Darussalam, Indonesia, Japan, as well as six regions in China.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The RGL aimed to facilitate short-term essential business and official travel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As of Jan 29, Singapore has reported a total of  59,449 COVID-19 confirmed cases of which 2,628 are classified as imported, 2,313 as community cases and 54,508 involving dorm residents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
