instructions to evacuate as directed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For the record, the first wave of floods in Terengganu occurred on Wednesday (Nov 18) but only involved one district, Setiu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Meanwhile, a Bernama check around Tok Jembal, Kuala Nerus last night found that several houses in the residential area were flooded, causing them to have to be evacuated to PPS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">One of the evacuees,&nbsp;Azman Sulong, 46, said that his house&nbsp;in Taman Murni Permai&nbsp;was flooded at about 6 pm yesterday and this was his first experience of flooding as he had just moved there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;I didn\u2019t have time to move large electrical appliances such as washing machines and refrigerators as the water entered the house suddenly,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Another affected resident, Zaharah Wahab, 46, said that the area often experienced flash floods whenever it was raining continuously and she had experienced such a situation a few times in the past 10 years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8212;
