KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 18  — Members of the public are invited to share their views and suggestions on the country\u2019s development roadmap for consideration in the preparation of the 12th Malaysia Plan, 2021-2025 (12MP).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Economy) Datuk Seri Mustapa Mohamed said the public could focus on certain points such as courses of action on reviving the economy, addressing poverty, skilled human capital development, technology adoption and digitisation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Suggestions related to community participation in the digital economy, environmental sustainability, development of Sabah and Sarawak and improving the efficiency of the public service may also be forwarded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The channel to do so is a special website, http:\/\/rmke12.epu.gov.my\/engagement and\u00a0at # RMKe12 on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram between Nov 18\u00a0and\u00a0Dec 2, 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cCognisant that the country is in a difficult and challenging situation due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the government strives to ensure that the 12MP, which is in the final stage of preparation, is mapped out to enable the country’s economy to recover and be competitive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAs the wellbeing of the people is the priority of the government, appropriate measures will be taken to support the country’s economic growth while ensuring that its prosperity and wealth may be shared by the communities from all walks of life,\u201d he said in a statement today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mustapa said the 12MP would be tabled in Parliament in early 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He said the preparation of the 12MP is based on the Shared Prosperity Vision 2030, a commitment aimed at bringing development to all, bridging the wealth and income gap and building a united, prosperous and dignified nation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
