PUTRAJAYA, Oct 4 \u00a0\u2014\u00a0 The Ministry of National Unity has ordered all agencies and machinery\u00a0under the ministry to postpone programs that involve\u00a0public gatherings following the increase in COVID-19 cases in the country since the past few days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Its minister,\u00a0 Datuk Halimah Mohamed Sadique,\u00a0 in a\u00a0statement today, reminded\u00a0 staff of all the ministry\u2019s agencies and machinery\u00a0to comply with the health protocols and standard operating procedures (SOP) set by the Ministry of Health\u00a0(MOH), the National Security Council (NSC) and the relevant state governments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00a0\u201cThis includes the 8,274 Rukun\u00a0Tetangga (KRT) neighborhood watch, 5321 voluntary patrol schemes\u00a0\u00a01,874 Perpaduan\u00a0nurseries and\u00a041 Genius kindergartens,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Halimah said that during the Recovery Movement control Order (RMCO), the ministry would also monitor religious activities at more than 10,000 non-Muslim houses of worship in the green and yellow zones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe Ministry advises all staff, unity machinery and the public to always abide by the SOP.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Practice the new norms such as wearing face mask, physical distancing and to always wash your hands, especially when in public places,” she added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
