KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 6\u00a0–Water supply has been restored to\u00a0417 locations or 32.28 percent of the 1,292 areas affected by the unscheduled water cuts\u00a0in seven districts in the Klang Valley, as of 6.30 am today. Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Air Selangor)\u00a0\u00a0Corporate Communications chief Elina Baseri said\u00a0the remaining 875 areas were still in the process of being restored.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She said of the seven districts, only two, namely Kuala Lumpur and Kuala Langat,\u00a0were still at zero recovery rate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hulu Selangor recorded the highest\u00a0recovery rate at 94.12 percent, followed by Kuala Selangor (91.7 percent); Petaling (37.17 percent); Gombak (11.31 percent), and Klang\/Shah Alam (7.91 percent).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Efforts are being intensified to stabilize the water supply distribution system to enable supply to be\u00a0restored to areas that are still affected,” she said in a statement today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Consumers who have received their\u00a0supply are urged\u00a0to conserve and use water\u00a0sparingly so that the recovery process for areas still affected\u00a0could\u00a0proceed\u00a0smoothly and according to the\u00a0recovery plan schedule.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Air Selangor has also provided public taps and a One-Stop Service Centre for consumers to get clean water supply, she added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
