KUALA LUMPUR,\u00a0Aug 7\u00a0— The retail prices of RON 95 and RON 97 petrol will go down by five sen per liter while that of diesel will drop four sen per liter for the period of Aug 8 to Aug 14.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to a statement from the Finance Ministry today,\u00a0based on the weekly retail pricing of petroleum products using the\u00a0Automated Price Mechanism (APM) formula, the new\u00a0price per liter for RON 95 is RM1.63, RON97 (RM1.93) and diesel RM1.79.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe government will continue to monitor the impact of global crude oil price changes and take appropriate measures to ensure the welfare and wellbeing of the people,\u201d the statement said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
