PUTRAJAYA, June 12 \u00a0— The government has allowed meetings, courses, seminars, and training sessions to be held, but subject to adherence to the standard operating procedure (SOP), said Senior Minister (Security Cluster) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.<\/p>\n

He said this was agreed to by the ministers\u2019 special meeting on the implementation of the Movement Control Order (MCO) today.<\/p>\n

“However, the SOP is being fine-tuned by the National Security Council (MKN) and Health Ministry (MOH).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

“InsyaAllah (God willing), I will announce the SOP,” he told a media conference on the Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO) here today.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Meetings, courses, and other similar events have been banned since the government implemented the MCO on March 18 to curb the spread of COVID-19 in the country.<\/p>\n

On Rest and Relaxation\u00a0(R&R) areas along highways, Ismail Sabri urged stall operators to provide enough hand sanitizers and soap for customers and to record their personal particulars as there will be a rush to go back to hometowns from today until Sunday.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

“R&R visitors should register their names, telephone numbers, and body temperatures using the MySejahtera application or manually in logbooks,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

Children\u2019s playgrounds at R&R are still closed although food stalls are allowed to operate from 6 am to midnight daily, he said.<\/p>\n

“The public is advised to abide by the SOP set for R&R and to practice self-discipline when back in their hometowns for the\u00a0sake of their own safety,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Under the\u00a0RMCO from\u00a0June 10 to Aug 31, the government has eased many restrictions including by lifting\u00a0the ban on interstate travel, except for any area\u00a0under the\u00a0Enhanced Movement Control Order.<\/p>\n
