KUALA SELANGOR, May 26 – Selangor police have confirmed\u00a0recording statements from\u00a0 33 people in connection with\u00a0a wedding ceremony alleged to have been held at a temple in Seri Kembangan yesterday.<\/p>\n

Selangor Criminal Investigation Department chief,\u00a0Datuk Fadzil Ahmad\u00a0said the statements were obtained from the temple chairmen and individuals who attended the ceremony.<\/p>\n

\u201cPolice have opened an investigation paper under Section 7 (1) of the\u00a0Prevention\u00a0and\u00a0Control\u00a0of Infectious Diseases\u00a0Act (Measures within the\u00a0Infected Local Areas)\u00a0Regulations 2020.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

“Besides, a probe\u00a0was also being conducted under Section 507 of the Penal Code and Section 233\u00a0of the\u00a0Communications and Multimedia Act 1998,” he said here, today.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Yesterday, a news portal reported that a temple in Seri Kembangan was believed to have held a wedding ceremony which was attended by about 100 individuals.<\/p>\n

The incident was reported to have been noticed by an individual who saw a row of cars and several people gathered at the\u00a0 temple, before recording a video.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The video went viral on social media as the event took place during the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) period.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
